The community of Carolina Forest is a subsection of the Myrtle Beach area, and actually retains a Myrtle Beach mailing address. This area has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, especially considering that approximately 10 years ago, there really was not much to see in Carolina Forest at all, including very little new construction. That, however, is no longer the case. A short drive down Carolina Forest Boulevard makes it easy to see that the area is scattered with numerous new home developments, some of which are completed communities and many of which still offer new construction homes. With the recent changes in the economy, buyers will find properties at prices that simply did not exist approximately 3 to 4 years ago. Most importantly, homes in this area are just a short drive to the beach by either Highway 501 or the recently finished International Drive and Robert Grissom Parkway.

Not only is the housing market growing in this area, but with the mass influx of residents, comes the influx of businesses. Locally owned and chain restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and more have quickly filled the newly built plazas in Carolina Forest. There is also a new post office and numerous doctor’s offices and medical facilities in the area. I liked it enough to make it my home.
